Hi, My name is Mark. I am a nice honest person, no head games, drugs, smoking, drinking, abuse or drama to deal with. I enjoy spontaneity, skiing, cycling, travelling, fixing up things around the house, motorcycling, snowmobiling, atv-ing, canoeing, a good DVD and more plus I am open to new things. Some consider honesty to be a weakness. It is much easier to just say it like it is. Loyalty is of utmost importance to me. If people can't remain loyal, they should move on. I am a calm and friendly person and I hate violence and volatility, so if you have anger issues, move on too.
Are you the kind of person whose first thought is "why should I?" or do you tend to say "why the hell not?" I am spontaneous. Do things at the drop of a hat if it looks like fun. I am open to finding just friends, short term, and even open to finding a long term soul mate. I would really like to find someone who ENJOYS SKIING or would enjoy learning how, but this is not a deal breaker for me, lol.
I would love to travel to other parts of the world like Asia or Europe. I enjoy meeting people from other cultures, and exploring ancient ruins, secluded beaches I caught the travel bug in my 20's when I spent 6 months backpacking across Europe and probably would have kept going if I hadn't run out of money, lol. If you have travelled, I would love to hear your stories.
When I took my travelling adventure, I packed a lot into those 6 months such as "minding the gap" in London, running with the bulls in Spain, camping in a farmer's field in France, going for a gondola ride in Venice, drinking beer at The Hoffbrauhaus in Munich, island hopping in the Cyclades, Greece, living in a homemade straw hut on the beach for a week, visiting roman ruins, sleeping in a fairy chimney in Cappadocia, Turkey and getting snowed in for Christmas in Salzburg Austria to name a few.
Bottom line, i would do it again in a heartbeat.
I enjoy hanging out with my two girls ages 8 and 11 but i do have an adventurous side too.
I would like to meet a woman to spend time with who is active, caring, patient, and who shares similar values. I am a straight forward person. No pretence or ulterior motives.
I am amazed when I see women seeking long term only. I am open to that, but I think that is putting the cart before the horse, so to speak. Let's meet first, lol? Isn't that what dating is for? Granted some men only want quickies or short term. That isn't me, but there is nothing wrong with it either.
I don't use drugs, however, I don't mind if you enjoy the occasional puff of something herbal. I am certainly no prude. I am looking for a friend first leaving myself open for all possibilities including long term. If I am attracted to a woman, I don't expect to remain celibate indefinitely. Sending messages is fun, but gets old pretty fast, so I would much rather meet sooner than later.
In the interest of full disclosure, I consider myself divorced but it will not be final until April.
